“Naked Skydiving” Now Available @ Verbatim Books!

Get a signed copy of my autobiographical novel, “Naked Skydiving,” based on the true story of the personal life of a dream interpreter, travelling through the west coast before 9-11, now available in the San Diego local author section at Verbatim Books, 3793 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104.

Verbatim is a great, open minded space to get zines, modern fiction and classics, in a cool, artistic area of San Diego without that Barnes and Noble Big Box corporate mall feeling. They even have a poetry night once a month. So you can read your work there too!

However, if you’re looking for a bookstore with Wi-Fi, as the cashier, Nick, who’s a great guy, agreed with me, they want you to read books here, like you did in your old college bookstore. Not be on the internet. Maybe even heaven forbid, buy a few. Authors can sell there books on consignment too and get 60%. Just ask their cool staff members. Not many chairs here to sit down, but it’s a great literary hangout!

Yoga Surfing In Coronado

While eating Hawaiian “pupus”at Peohe’s on the Coronado ferry landing, after writing a real estate offer on the “island,” I got these poetic shots of surfers, doing yoga on their paddle boards. It has been said that photography is all about capturing the moment.  These are some of my moments.

Wonder Woman @ Comic-Con

After attending Comic-Con this year, we walked in on this crowd pleasing Super Hero, juggling & shaking her “thang” after dark in the closed off streets of San Diego’s Gaslamp District.

Watch “Natural Born Burlesque Thrillers @ The San Diego Fringe Festival”

One thing about the Fringe Festival is that it can make old deteriorating buildings that are on “the fringe” of acceptability here in San Diego trendy with art. This sexy Burlesque dance troupe is quite an example.

See “Naked Skydiving” @ The Ocean Beach Street Fair, Booth 348, today on Newport Ave from 11AM-8PM!

Stop by for a “Naked Skydiving”T-Shirt or a copy of “Naked Skydiving,” now selling on Amazon.com for as much as $2,400! Street Fair Special just $20.00, or for Tennessee’s art, or sell or buy a home with us, since we are also licensed real estate agents, BRE #00628673.

On the Road 2 Sedona

image

Against my better judgment, I decided to spend my paid vacation going to Sedona, AZ on a bus. It was a luxury bus with air conditioning, TV, and free WI-Fi.  But the schedule was conspicuously missing before the trip. I found out after we were held “captive,” the only drawback is that we had to be on the bus every day by 8AM. I’m not sure if you would call it a vacation or a job.

As you can see from these pictures, the trip was beautiful fun. I will be blogging more about it in future posts and even adding some video.

Day Off @Stone Brewery

image

I had a day off on Tuesday  so we went to world famous Stone Brewery in Escondido, CA which is located at Citracado Parkway, a beautiful citrusy avocado street name.  It’s a very unique place where they not only brew many different kinds of beer, but have a Stone Brewery Restaurant, and a beautiful place to walk where you can see many synthetic natural scenes like the ones shown below. It’s kind of like Busch Gardens here in San Diego or a beer Disneyland.   It’s a tad on the odd side though because everywhere you look you see their company symbol of the devil.  I asked one of the waiters if the place was cursed. He said “No, but the symbol is there to put a curse on their competitor’s bad beer.  I tried a dark beer sampler, and it was really geither, except for the icky mint curry on the side and most of the food was organic. The apple cheese platter was amazing! I’ve never had a tastier apple, probably because it was organic too.   The prices were kind of high though.

Actually, the devil like symbol may not be evil after all. Perhaps the owners of this billion dollar facility were pagans.   It seemed that they worshipped the beautiful nature all around them and Pan, a pagan symbol of a man with wings and a tail, was a nature god who was worshipped before he was demonized by Christianity. Lots of stone symbols here too. My advice to you, “Everybody Must Get Stoned.”at the Stone Brewery.

Memorial Day Travels

These are floating cabins at one of the 7 Santee Lakes. Nice and simple. But they are all booked up till September so we couldn’t stay there.

image

Here’s another beautiful view of one of the Santee Lakes.

image

This is a map of the Lake locations. We had to pay 5 dollars for parking since it’s privately owned.  Though they are pretty, I’ve seen cleaner lakes at Lake Murray and Lake Miramar. Supposedly they stock the lakes with fish since the lakes are manmade, but when I asked a fisherman, if he saw anything, he said all he saw a dead bass  floating upsidedown in the water. Still, the lakes make a nice San Diego staycation escape, even though I’ve seen better.

My Restaurants?

image

Here’s one of the restaurants that bears my name that I don’t own. The other one’s in Pacific Beach on the ocean. This one is in Rancho San Diego.

Here’s a few more beautiful pictures near Jordan’s in the back of the mall.

There’s also a movie theater there. We went
to see “Horrible Bosses 2.”
