My Friend Was In Trayvon Martin’s Shoes

One afternoon, my friend told me he was walking around the corner to the liquor store near his home in Venice beach to get an ice cream.  Another man started walking in front of him.  Being that this was near Muscle Beach, the man who walked in front of him was ripped like a bodybuilder.  A very big muscular dude, compared to my friend, an intellelectual.

They were both going in the same direction. The muscle man heard my friend’s footsteps behind him.  He stopped and asked my friend, “Are you following me?”  My friend half smiled and said no, but before he could complete his sentence, the muscle man had decked my friend and pummled him on the ground.  He was in fear for his life. He actually believed it was the end for him.  He screamed as much as he could. Then, out of apathetic annoyance, a neighbor yelled “Keep it down out there!” This was while my friend was being beaten to death.  The muscle man ran away before he could be identified.

My friend called me, drastically explaining that I needed to take him to the hospital.  His cheeks were purple and swollen and he said his neck hurt like hell.  He couldn’t afford insurance, so I had to take him to a low-income  clinic. The doctor said the swelling would go down after a while and no bones were broken,so he was Okay and healed up a few weeks later.  I asked him if he would have shot the guy if he had a gun.  My friend, was a spiritual antiwar activist type so even though he was terrified, he still said no.

Trayvon didn’t have a gun either.  Fear of the unknown in both cases drove people’s actions more than race, but fear of an unknown black person in Zimmerman’s neighborhood lead him to kill instead of question.

What The Other Articles About The Batman Movie Massacre Won’t Tell You

Bane and Batman From “The Dark Night Rises,”Warner Brothers Pictures

I’ve read several articles about the Batman Massacre. What they generally don’t tell you is why this massacre happened. There maybe reasons that are logical and conspiritory as to why this awful act was committed.

The first and most obvious is that this alleged person, (I don’t even want to dignify his name on the net to give him more publicity,) was frustrated with his unemployment. He studied psychiatric illnesses and perhaps was drawn to the plight of people who did what he did. They usually say these murderers are the quiet people who never spoke up and from what I’ve read, he fits that pattern. He may have been wronged by his medical school and
maybe he couldn’t afford it anymore. So he took revenge. But aren’t guns and bulletproof vests even more expensive than his regular living expenses?

Another conspiracy theory I have is that he was not only a medical student, but perhaps a frustrated screenwriter who, like myself, and many others, submitted material to the major media “glamor gastapo,” in this case, Warner Brothers and felt that he was ripped off,so he took revenge on the theater and it’s patrons. Normally, one would persue this kind of script theft case in court, but he knew it would take years and a whole lot of money to persue this case. That’s why I hardly ever submit my materials to majors studios anymore. It’s so easy for the deep pocketed studio to get away with stealing it. So he lost his mind and “ammoed up” instead.

I also have other theories: Obviously his crime was close to the content of the latest Batman movies. But this particular Batman movie has a villain named Bane, as in Baine Capital, Romney’s infamous company that outsourced many American jobs. Romney usually is so phoney that he says the opposite of what he means. He’s such an American “job creator” in China, India and other countries. He loves America so much that he personally invest in Swiss banks and the Cayman Islands. He hates Obamacare so much, even though he originated a similar system in Massachusetts. Recently, I saw him give quite an eloquent speech about how awful this tragedy is. Yet, the major villain is named after his company, Baine Capital. Could he have put this student up to it, who might have needed the money for medical school, so the name of his former company wouldn’t be maligned? This guy came from San Diego which is a military town. And so did the 9-11 terrorists. Is the military involved in both cases? He had bulletproof gear on so obviously he planned to live. Did he do this to get 3 square meals and a roof over his head in a jail cell when he gave himself up? If he’s so unemployed and broke where did he get all this weaponry?

Again, these are just theories, not facts that I find intriguing. I do have one more that’s even more insidious. That he was hired by the government to invade our privacy, like the way the underwear bomber changed air travel. Now we will have full body scanners invading our privacy every where we go, even at the movies. We’ll all be cacooning at home on our computers, afraid to go out, and be terrorized or at least, government inspected every time we’re in public. This also will have an impact on gun control laws as it should.

Why should anybody in any country legally be allowed to carry such weapons? The only purpose of such weaponry is a war or a massacre not self defense or hunting.

The lessons from this tragedy are somewhat apparent to me. I’m not advocating censorship, but perhaps we as a culture should outgrow Batman type violent entertainment sequels that have been milked to death for money over and over and over again and finally evolve to support more original nonviolent films. No one should be using assault weapons. And people need to learn how to take cover and hide during a crises like this. We should treat our mentally ill kinder and sooner and help each other before a tragedy happens. Also,if this guy was the real Joker, as he claims, where is the real Batman when we need him?
